Risvan Khan came to America to meet with his brother and worked there. Since birth he suffers from Asperger Syndrome, a part of autism resulting disturbance to interact socially. With the help of his brother, he finally can be received at the cosmetics company. Mandira is a figure of Indian Hindu woman to a pretty good career in the land of Uncle Sam. She opened a beauty salon in downtown San Francisco. Mandira is already divorced and has a son named Sameer. A chance finally bring Khan and Mandira when Khan offer products to the salon kecantikanya Mandira. As the story goes they finally get married and live happily.
For approximately one hour, the plot runs quite slow and tedious. A typical Indian film with songs and tarianya distinctive coloring of the first 1 hour. Chronology of change when it reaches the middle of the movie and into the core of the story. Is 9/11 which raises the stigma of anti-Islam across America. Men with long beards were arrested and beaten, while others choose to shave off his beard to disguise the identity of being Muslim. A woman willing to remove her veil in order to continue working. The same thing also struck the small kelurga Khan and Mandira. Sameer Khan, their children who have grown teen humiliated, and then beaten to death. This tragic event makes Mandira blames Khan for having married her and added frills behind the name of Sameer Khan. Finally, Khan left home and promised not to return until he was able to meet the American president and said that he was a Muslim but not a terrorist.
